Vanessa Smit

Born and resident in Cape Town, Vanessa has an internationally recognized qualification in Health and Skincare therapy which she completed at Camelot International in 2013. Vanessa has been working in the Medical Aesthetics industry since qualifying.
Post-graduation, she started her career at a 5-Star Spa in Cape Town and progressed into the aesthetics industry in 2014 by joining a well-known Weight-Loss practice in Durbanville – Cape Town.
Vanessa joined the CapeMAC team in July 2016 where she serves as an Aesthetic Therapist and the Practice Manager to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the Medical Practice.
Vanessa is passionate about helping clients and is very results driven. Her particular interests are in performing micro-needling procedures; doing chemical peels and tattoo removal.
When not at the practice, she enjoys photography is a computer games fundi.
Her motto in life is "Too much of a good thing is wonderful!"

Dr Bagwandeen

Dr Bagwandeen is a General Practitioner with a special interest in Aesthetic Medicine. He has an Advanced Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine (Cum Laude) and is Board Certified in Aesthetic Medicine by the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (also, Cum Laude).

Having always had a keen interest in the aesthetic aspects of medicine, Dr Bagwandeen decided to formally pursue this interest since 2010. He has since attended numerous specialised courses and conferences in medical aesthetics and has successfully completed the internationally recognised courses in aesthetic medicine offered by The American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM). Dr Bagwandeen graduated Cum laude at the top of the class during the Board Certification examinations (August 2013) and is currently one of less than 300 doctors worldwide who is Board Certified by the AAAM.

Anchen van Dyk

Also born and resident in Cape Town, Anchen is also a graduate from Camelot International having completed a 3 year qualification there and earning her CIDESCO and ITEC international qualifications, as well as the national SAAHSP. Anchen is currently enrolled to further complete her 4th year of study in Advanced Dermal Aesthetics at ISA Carstens – Cape Town.
Anchen joined the CapeMAC team in September 2018 as an Aesthetic Therapist. Her particular interests lie in the science and application of Cosmetology which she get to put to practice on a daily basis when advising clients regarding the best product choices for their skin concerns or needs. Treating clients with acne/problematic skin or those with pigmentation conditions through chemical peels, micro-needling and home care recommendations lie very close to her heart. She is passionate about helping and educating clients on their skin disorders which so often affects a patients’ self confidence.
When not at the practice Anchen enjoys being outdoors- running or hiking or playing with and caring for Ruby – her mini Yorkshire Terrier, who is the apple of her eye.
